How does free, unlimited, original music sound?
There's a small catch. It's randomly generated and not all that musical. But still. It's cool, and there's a chance you might even hear something neat and turn it into a real song.
I present Melody Maker 1.2, a little program I made with Game Maker by YoYo Games. It has four different scales programmed in and will randomly generate notes and sometimes power chords in the scale you choose.
If you're crazy, you can run as many as you want at a time, all four in different scales, probably at different times, doing different things. But hey, it's science, not music. That would require a human. Now where to find some of them... Oh hey, isn't there something called the Internet?
Ideally, it would just be Flash and accessible in the web browser. But Game Maker doesn't quite work that way, so what can ya do?
The scales included are the major scale, pentatonic blues, harmonic minor, and chromatic.
